The Shock Mount uses gas shock technology to greatly reduce the noise and vibration created when training. Be sure to use the drop down box and select the weight of your heavy bag. Every Shock Mount uses the same chassis. The only difference is the force of the gas shock. Your Shock Mount will perform best if the correct bag weight is selected. The standard Shock Mount is designed to attach to open floor joists on 16" (center to center). It can also be mounted through drywall. I had initially bought a mount for a single joist in my Garage, but there was still a lot of noise and vibration when using my 150 lb Muay Thai bag. this mount was very easy to install and I immediately saw./heard a difference in the vibration and noise. It really help support the bag spanning two joists and the piston really cuts the vibration and noise. You can tell when you receive this item that it is heavy duty and will hold up for a long time. All around very satisfied with this purchase considering it's a bit cheaper than some comparable products I've found.
